Resettlement and Livelihood Restoration 

In total more than 8,000 people from Donglian and Yanqian Villages were physically relocated from the project site and residential exclusion area to the newly constructed resettlement sites. CSPC signed the land grant contracts with Huizhou City Government which has responsibility for implementing project resettlement and related livelihood restoration. CSPC assisted the government develop a Resettlement Action Plan, designed to meet Chinese and international standards. A social baseline survey had been conducted before the relocation, and formal monitoring of the resettlement after the event was also being conducted.
